Sterling Hammered Spoon Jewelry

Exclusively for CRESCENDOh, our artist uses sterling silver spoons from the late 1800s to early 1950s to hammer them flat. They are then cut and hand shaped (ground with a bench grinder) into shapes such as hearts, circles, and sometimes left in the original oval shape. Our artist drills a hole for a jump ring and then hand pounds each letter. A sterling silver chain finishes each piece. Each necklace is a one-of-a-kind as each spoon starts with a personality all of its own in terms of thickness, shape, and sometimes design on the original "bowl" of the spoon. All parts and pieces are made of sterling silver.
