This is a 5-week online course that will begin Monday, January 10, 2011
In this class, you will learn how to dry and treat flowers, which is one of the signature features of Rachel Emilie Jackson's work. You'll learn techniques for staining papers and manipulating gesso for frosty and chalky effects. You will also learn how to use watercolors to complement stamping, and learn to stamp on Rachel's favorite surface, bringing paper's soft, tactile qualities to the fore.
Upon enrollment, you will receive a FREE Romancing the Paper kit that includes: Bristly brush, blank tea bags, piece of glassine, postcard sized heavy hot-pressed watercolor paper (3), piece of vellum, assorted elements (pastel paper, handmade paper, paper flowers).
You will also have exclusive access to all
of the videos and class-specific materials including:
5 weeks of creative instruction on creative papercraft and rubber stamping with a touch of soft color and faded romance
weekly video tutorials (1-2 each week)
