SIMPLICITY AND INTEGRITY
Eric Silva's work is celebrated and collected worldwide. His work reflects an indivual artistic viewpoint that combines both natural and industrial materials in a small, thoughtfully constructed space. His designs highlight the often-overlooked details found in daily life. He believes in the simplicity and integrity of the materials themselves.

Join Eric as he teaches his unique approach during this very special 2-day workshop where participants will learn his unique art jewelry-making methods including:

• Wirework (cold connection)
• Drilling
• Cutting tubing
• Bending meta
• Rivets (cold connection)
• Making unique hooks for clasps

Because this workshop utilizes simple and beautiful found elements that are constructed without the use of fire or heat, Eric likes describing the process as Art Jewelry Collage ... where elements are connected with elegance, and problems solved with simple sophistication.

KITS: $40

(This kit fee will be collected by the teacher from each student during the workshop.)
In terms of the elements used for the class, Eric will be providing a kit that contains unique findings and elements from his collection that you will use to create. You will be walking away with a beautiful jewelry item that you make under the guidance of Eric—either a necklace, bracelet, or earrings. Depending on how fast you work, you may be able to make two or even three pieces by the end of the workshop.

SUPPLY LIST
Please feel free to bring favorite elements from your own collection that you may want to add to the elements frin Eric's kit as you create your piece(s). Eric will provide ideas on how to incorporate some of your favorite elements into your work. In addition to your favorite elements, please also bring basic jewelry-making tools including:

• pliers (chain, flat, and round-nose)
• Wire cutters
• Metal shears
• Ball Peen Hammer
• Steel Bench Block
• Bench Pad

• Arrive & Settle: 9:00 :: Time for students to arrive, settle in.
• Class Segment A: 9:30-12:00 :: Class time with Eric who will demonstrate and guide the 1st part of class.
• Lunch & Stroll: 12:00 PM :: You can choose to brown bag it or take a stroll to one of the many hip and artsy eateries in the historic Artist's Village in Santa Ana, like C4 Deli, Chapter One, Paninoteca, 4th Street Market, Cafe Calacas, and The Gypsy Den.
• Class Segment B: 1:30-4:30 PM :: Class time with Eric who will guide the 2nd part of class.
• Clean-Up & Depart: 4:30-5:00 PM

NOTES:

• Eric will have a limited number of original jewelry pieces on hand for those interested in purchasing his art.
• Due to limited class size, the spot for this class is transferable but payment is non-refundable. Please read about this policy in our Studio Policies.
