Pin and Keep Sampler

1/2-Day Workshop on Saturday, March 16, 2013

Pinkeeps have kept one of our sewing essentials handy for centuries. Likewise, stitched samplers have always been a fun and relaxing hobby. This fun and adorable project will marry the practical with the pleasures of creating something hand stitched from the heart.

We will give a style update to this popular old notion by hand-stitching to it, fabric scraps, stamped images, appliqués, old broken jewelry bits and more. Nothing is off limits if it's light and can be anchored with needle and thread!

SCHEDULE:

• Arrive & Settle: 8:30 :: Time for students to arrive, settle in, and grab a cup of coffee.
• Class Segment: 9:00-12:00 :: Class time with Lisa who will demonstrate and guide the class.
• Show & Tell, Clean-Up & Depart: 12:00-12:30 PM

WHAT STUDENTS WILL BRING & WHAT TEACHER WILL BRING:

• I will supply each student with everything needed to create their Pinkeep.
• Please feel free to bring sentimental items or favorite bits from your stash that you would like to incorporate into your project.
• The only thing that students must bring to class is a needle!
  

NOTES:

• A very small portion of the Pinkeep will be machine stitched. A sewing machine will be available for our use. However, if you would like to bring your own machine, feel free to do so.
• Lisa will have some supplies and art pieces for sale.
• Due to limited class size, the spot for this class is transferable but payment is non-refundable. Please read about this policy in our Studio Policies.
